New Scenario “Electric Car Pioneer”

Along with the new Electric Cars, this version introduces a new scenario titled “Electric Car Pioneer” with the following description. It would be the 18th and final scenario of the base game.

You’re a visionary entrepreneur who sees the potential of electric vehicles long before they become mainstream. Your ambitious goal: to dominate the future electric car market with a 70% share and generate a monthly trade revenue of at least $3 million solely from your factory’s electric car sales.

But the path to electric dominance won’t be easy. You’ll need to strategically invest in cutting-edge research to master the technologies behind electric motors and high-performance batteries. Outmaneuver competitors, anticipate consumer demand, and build a green manufacturing empire that will leave its mark on the future of transportation.

More New Product Types: Treadmill, Coffee Machine, and Table

We’ve expanded our product offerings in Capitalism Lab with some exciting new additions! In the Sports Equipment product class, we’ve introduced the Treadmill, bringing the total number of products in that category up to four and offering players even more profitability and strategic depth.

We’ve also broadened our selection in other areas: the Home Appliance product class now includes the Coffee Machine, and the Furniture product class welcomes the addition of the Table. These new products provide players with a wider range of choices for building their business empires.

New Product Research List: Unlocking the Future of Your Manufacturing Empire

Capitalism Lab just got even more strategic with the introduction of the New Product Research List window, accessible directly from your Manufacturer’s Guide. This powerful tool provides a comprehensive overview of all the products you haven’t yet discovered, allowing for more focused and efficient research planning.

This feature provides the following details for each product:

Invention Status: See at a glance whether a product has already been invented by another company. This allows you to prioritize research efforts on groundbreaking innovations and gain a competitive edge.

Unlock Dates: If a product is locked until a specific year, the window will display the year it becomes available for research, allowing you to plan ahead.

Research Prerequisites: Clearly see any prerequisites required to research a product, such as possessing specific technologies or capabilities. For example, researching Smartphones requires prior knowledge of producing camera phones.

Understanding Demand Shifts in Manufacturer Guide

The manufacturer guide now offers a clear view of how demand is shifting to new products. For example, it shows that up to 50% of the demand for gasoline cars will shift to electric cars.

Furthermore, to clearly indicate products nearing the end of their lifecycle, the info window will display the word “Obsolete” when the demand shift exceeds 90%.

New Options to Control Subsidiary CEO Actions

Farming Expansion Limitation: You can now limit the farming expansion of your subsidiary CEOs. When the “Farming” option is disabled, CEOs will only establish new farms to supply agricultural inputs to production chains. When enabled, CEOs will actively set up farms and produce agricultural products for retail.

Bond Issuance Control: You can now prevent subsidiary CEOs from issuing bonds to fund business expansion. However, if a company runs out of cash, the CEO will still be able to issue bonds to ensure its survival, regardless of this setting.

Restrict Subsidiary Expansion for Service Industry DLC: You can now disallow subsidiary CEOs from setting up new Service Firms, Import and Export companies , giving you more control over the strategic direction of your subsidiaries.

New Tech Icons for Digital Age DLC

A fresh new look for the Digital Age DLC with a set of brand-new icons for its technologies. These modern and sleek icons perfectly capture the essence of innovation and progress in the digital era.

To complement the new tech icons, we’ve also revamped the Software Guide and the Internet Guide with improved UI design. The streamlined layout and intuitive interface make it easier for you to navigate and access the information you need to succeed in the Digital Age DLC.

New Seaport Settings

In the New Game Settings menu, you can now choose “Random” for the number of seaports and the quality of import.

Interface Improvement: Showing Products from All Floors

If you run Capitalism Lab at a display resolution of 1900 pixels wide or greater, the Firm detail view for multi-floor businesses will display all products from every floor of your operation.

This quality-of-life improvement to the interface allows you to:

  • Quickly scan your entire product range at a glance
  • Effortlessly navigate between floors with a simple click on any row of the product images.
  • With just a click on any product image, you’ll select and view its details on the Firm detail window.
  • Streamline your decision-making process
  • You can change the sales charts displayed on the product images to “Profit”, “Revenue” or “Quantity Sold” by clicking on the icons in the product chart area on the left of the firm detail window.

If you don’t want this to be displayed, you can disable the option “display of product images from all floors beside the firm detail window” in the Options menu.

Streamlined Supply Chain Insights: Pinned Windows and Freight Cost Breakdown

This version introduces powerful new features to enhance your supply chain management: pinned windows for clients and suppliers, and a detailed freight cost breakdown.

Please note: Pinned windows are available only when the game screen resolution is set to 1900 pixels wide or higher.

Stay Informed with Pinned Windows

No more toggling back and forth! You can now pin both the “View Clients” and “View Suppliers” windows for uninterrupted access to crucial information.

  • Pinning a Window: Simply click the pin icon located in the bottom-left corner of the window.
  • Persistent Views: Once pinned, the window will remain visible whenever you’re viewing a product that has associated clients or suppliers.
  • Effortless Monitoring: This allows you to constantly monitor client demand or supplier pricing while making strategic decisions about your product.

Transparency with Freight Cost

Gain a deeper understanding of your supply chain expenses with the new freight cost details displayed in the “View Supplier” window.

Freight Cost Breakdown: See exactly how freight costs are calculated, including a breakdown of individual components and their contribution to the total freight cost.

Freight % of Price: Freight cost as a percentage of the product price, allowing for easier cost analysis and comparison.

These enhancements provide you with the real-time insights and transparency needed to make informed decisions and maximize your company’s profitability.

Clients Window

The Pin functionality is also available on the Clients window. This allows you to view clients of your firms easily and quickly.

New Firm Images

Firm images are now displayed for the following types of firms:
• Internet Companies • Telecom • Media Firms• Banks • Insurance companies• Import Companies• Export Companies

New Images for Functional Units

The firm detail window has been updated with new images for functional units, offering a refreshed and modernized appearance.

Gameplay Balance Improvements

This version delivers a more refined and balanced gameplay experience. Here’s a summary of the key improvements made to gameplay balance:

Adjusted the freight costs of various items for better gameplay balance.

Increased the processing speed of purchasing units at all levels by 50%.

Adjusted the speed at which purchasing units gain experiences and advance units, so that they advance at a speed similar to other types of units.

For newly invented products, the demand will grow gradually.

For newly invented products, local competitors will grow slowly over a period of 5 years. So the companies that invented new products will have first-mover advantages of having fewer competitors in the first few years.

The sales capacity of automobile outlets is increased by 50% so that AI won’t need to open too many Automobile outlets to serve the demand. The setup cost and expenses are increased by 50% accordingly.

Improved the gameplay balance of the production blueprints of various products.

There is a limit to the number of farming extension tiles that a farm can build.

City maps are now generated with a random factor that determines whether it has a river or not.

Cities with populations greater than 500,000 will have a higher mayoral election campaign budget.

The game will automatically add Knowledge Point rewards to all subgoals in all scenarios, if the scenarios have no predefined Knowledge Point rewards in their subgoals. Ranging from 10 to 50 Knowledge Points of rewards depending on the scenario difficulty setting:

Increased the goal targets for the “Multinational Corporation” scenario.

The Central Government Bailouts Feature Gameplay Balance Improvement:
It now scales according to the city population. The bailout amount is calculated using the following formula:
Bailout Amount=$200 million x <city population> / 500,000

This formula ensures that the bailout amount adjusts proportionally with the size of the city’s population.

However, there is a minimum bailout amount set at $50 million, ensuring that even smaller cities receive a substantial amount of support.

Additionally, if the inflation mode is enabled within the game, the accumulated inflation effect will be applied to the bailout amount.

New Person Personality Attribute:
A new attribute called “Inventing New Products”. When the person will tend to invest into inventions if this attribute >= 30.

New Resolution Modes

This version now includes support for high resolution modes: 2560×1600 and 3440×1440.

Interface Improvements:

Product Icons for Firms: The Firm List in the Information Center now shows the images of the products that each firm handles, for the majority of firm types, providing a visual representation of each firm’s specialty and giving you a better understanding of their focus.

Improved the visual quality of small product icons on the city map (when the display mode is toggled to display product icons from factories and other types of firms on the city map.)

Price Agreement Icon: The supplier selection interface will display an icon to identify products with a “price agreement,” allowing you to know the status before selecting the product.

Manufacturer’s Guide Improvements:

1) The Manufacturer’s Guide now displays navigation arrows when multiple products can be created using identical inputs. Players can easily explore alternative products using the same set of inputs. Modders can assess game balance by identifying how many products share common inputs.

2) When setting up a firm layout using the Manufacturer’s Guide or Farmer’s Guide, you can double-click on the product to select it for setting up the layout without having to click on the [Set up Factory] or [Set up on Farm] buttons.

Capacity Utilization Details: You can now view details on how the capacity utilization for a functional unit is calculated by hovering your mouse over the capacity utilization icon. This will display the quantity processed monthly and the monthly processing capacity.

Business Relations Display: When you designate your subsidiary as the company whose cash and profit are shown in the bottom menu bar, the trade volumes displayed on the “Business Relations” page of the Corporations report will reflect the trade volumes of other companies with that subsidiary.

Automated Loyalty Targeting for the Talent System

When it is enabled, it will automatically increase salaries to achieve the target loyalty level. New functional units employing talent will always use the most recent settings as the default.
