Some Suggestions to add more depth and realism to the game.
1) Multiple Currencies: Implementing different currencies depending on the location adds a layer of complexity and realism to the game. It could introduce strategic decisions for companies regarding currency exchange rates and international trade. This feature could also simulate economic fluctuations in different regions.
2) Crypto Currency & Commodities Market: Including a crypto and commodities market adds diversity to investment options within the game. Crypto could offer high-risk, high-reward opportunities, mimicking real-world volatility. Meanwhile, the commodities market could reflect economic conditions and provide a hedge against traditional investments.
3) Acquisition and Merger Options: Presently, we can only offer to acquire a company when it's on the brink of bankruptcy or when dealing with private entities.
It would be advantageous to broaden these capabilities. For instance, it would be beneficial to have the flexibility to make offers independently, rather than being constrained by fixed valuations - Just like offering to Buy Tech from a company. This flexibility could enhance strategic decision-making and offer more approaches to acquisitions.
Moreover, in the context of public companies, there's room for enriching gameplay. Allowing players to propose purchasing the remaining shares could add depth to the game's dynamics. Shareholders could be given a specified timeframe—perhaps a month—to respond, regardless of the player's stake in the company, be it a minority or majority holding.
We could also stretch it a bit and implement the idea of Proposing a Merger to competitors.
These features could introduce a new dimension to gameplay, fostering strategic thinking and negotiation skills.
4) When it comes to acquiring shares in a global stock market company, the current system has some quirks. Even if you acquire 100% ownership, the share price continues to fluctuate, which seems counterintuitive. Moreover, despite owning all the shares, you still lack control over the company's decisions.
To address this, we could implement a few changes:
Upon reaching a 50%+1 shareholding, players gain the ability to adjust the company's dividend payout. This empowers players to influence the company's financial policies and potentially increase shareholder returns.
At the 75% shareholding threshold, players unlock the ability to determine the company's growth strategy and target markets. This could include options like aggressive growth, moderate expansion, or steady progress. These decisions would be implemented through AI management and would impact the company's global strategy without affecting individual in-game assets like buildings.
Upon achieving 100% ownership, players could choose to delist the company from the global stock market. Once delisted, the company would operate as a global subsidiary, directly under the player's control. This would signify full ownership and control over the company's operations and strategic direction.
These adjustments would create a more realistic and immersive experience, allowing players to exercise greater control over their investments and strategic decisions as they acquire larger stakes in global corporations.
5) Billionaires List Connected to Global Stock Market
How about instead of having Bill Gates with 70Bil and 0 shareholding, we would have the option to randomly generate 200 People which have shareholdings in Global Companies - 100 of which make the top Billionaires list, but if the 101st person has a shareholding in a global company that exploded, they could join the list as well.
That way it adds to the dynamic of things and not just effected by inflation..
These 200 people can also act as part of the venture capitalists and / or invest in further global or local companies.
