Real Wage Rate vs GDP Per Capita

I just looked at this odd thing in my cities, despite having a huge GDP per capita it has a very low wage rate compared to other cities:

First City:

This leads me to think: How do Real Wages work? Shouldn't higher GDP per capita lead to wage increases?

I'm not sure about the relation of wages with GDP, but from my experience to get high wages you need to reduce unemployment rate, and the only way to do that is to block immigrants, since theoretically they would still keep coming even after the city is out of space for buildings(jobs).

You are right - when I block immigration the Real Wages climb up. Interestingly enough those wages stay up even after allowing immigration again, which is interesting.
