saving freezes and naming issues in saving

I thought it was me but i've just had this issue again. Basically when I goto save new, Caplab goes into not responding mode but does save the game. It maybe something on my laptop so will use a freshly imaged laptop to double confirm this issue. The weird thing is as soon as I click save new it goes into not responding and then I come on here to type a comment and this seems to them name the save file with some of the words from the sentence that I type on here. It seems to be triggering shortcut keys as when the game starts reponding again I have the newspaper menu, where you can change the options regarding news ect.

I also noticed the same not respoding when I click on my coporation icon for the first time. And then it starts responding moments later.

I do use CAP 2 on the same laptop, and don't have any issue with any of this.

I'm unable to screenshot currently, for some reason my ctrl, alt or shift key + Prtsc dosen't capture the screen.

What method is everyone using to screen capture?

Just tried saving on my newer laptop and found that I typed testing, as soon as I pressed G it 's gone to not responding. Still awaiting for it to start responding. Will post reply once it starts responding.

I assume that no one else is having this issue?
It appears that the buttons that cause me this issue, are the hotkey buttons.
David, do you have a list of all of the hotkey buttons in the game?
g = Goals
f = firms
p = production

I'll keep testing this, and see if I can find my old CAP 2 manual.

I havent had any problems with this so far. Although I havent been using as many hotkeys yet (Havent learned them all yet)

Sorry I may of explained it wrong, Basically when I save a game for example testing, when I press the g of testing it goes into not responding. I'm assuming that it triggers the hotkeys in the game, as g is used for goal. try and save a game and call it testing and get back to me. Perhaps it has something to do my laptop but I can't see why it would be.

I just tested it and I was able to type 'g' when entering a saved game name. Did anybody else experience the same problem?

Weird, I've just tested it and it's fine too. Does the game need to be connected to the net when you save? If it does then perhaps my internet connection was down.

No.

But it will check the connection regularly while you are playing the game.

By the way, did you play Cap Lab in the past 24 hours?

yeah, I tend to leave it open too. If the net was diconnected and it checked for connectivity what would happen?
Shall I turn off my wireless connection or will it boot me out of the game or worst freeze?
