Changing a mod mid game

If all your mod does is change the images of the characters, if you change the mod mid play-through after you've added more new faces. Will all change in the save or not because the safe was before the new mod?

I would say that you can change mid game, because the game more then likely goes to pull the file from the directory, if that file has changed and its in the correct format it takes it as is.

Ive found changing fine it doesnt cause it to crash. But will it pick up all the changes? So if I was to replace all the character images would the save file see that change? I might do a test later.
