Player Expertise

I set my expertise level to the max. But I'm not seeing the effect in game. My unit levels are still showing level 1 and farm quality is still 30.

I created a game using your script and was able to get the expertise boosts in the game.

Did you get other script parameters working? e.g. the number of competitors and the number of cities.

Please check your SCRIPT folder and see if there is a file called ERROR.LOG.

I had an error previously for an unrelated matter (seaports) which I corrected, just a typo. So the error log works. The other parameters work as far as I know, amount of cities, seaports, start year.

And yes, mine shows exactly what your screenshot shows. The stats are maxed but I do not see the effects in the actual firms. So each unit in each firm is still at level 1. Also, the farm quality is still just 30, should be higher with 100 expertise in farming, should be at least 60 or so, can't remember.


With all due respect, love the game, been playing for years, bought this one as soon as I heard about it.

as reported, player expertise doesnt work atm, even while it shows in persons screen, they dont work. except product expertise.
